Basketball helps children learn basic coordination and team-building skills with an added bonus of making new friends along the way.  Learning basketball allows children to incorporate frequent physical activity into their daily routines and contributes to overall physical well-being and fitness. Learning to play basketball involves dribbling, throwing, catching and pivoting which improves gross motor skills by using major muscle groups. Children who play basketball improve flexibility and endurance. Your child will also benefit from improved fine motor skills, such as hand-eye coordination which can be transferred to other activities of the daily life.
